Okay so not much has happened since we
talked. I really did love
talking so much. I was so worried that I
would be sad and nervous. But
it made my day and my week. And I can't wait
until Mother's Day haha.
I guess Mother's Day in England is in March?
But we can choose which
month to Skype. So we will see, maybe I can
do both hahahaha. Just
kidding. You guys all seem like you are
doing so well. Some injuries
but I guess Parkin’s just are bound to get
injured. I'm surprised I
never suffered any major injuries skiing to
be honest. I guess we will
see when I get home haha.
But nothing else has really happened, except
for the baptism! It was a
wonderful experience! I had the opportunity
to preform the ordinance
for D. WOW! He is huge! Haha I struggled a
bit but I have been doing
lots of push-ups and workouts the last 4
months so I felt pretty
confident haha. I took dads advice and baptized
him forward instead of
backwards. It worked just great! It was
super spiritual experience and
I loved it so much. I was super nervous. But
I felt and feel the power
of the priesthood in baptism and performing
these sacred ordinances.
But before all this spiritual powerhouse, we
had some conflict haha,
Doe was suppose to arrive at 1:30 so we
could preform his and Oliver's
in the same service. But Doe was traveling
from Preston and was
suppppeerrrr late! Like 2 hours late. So we
did Oliver’s, which was
amazing. He had his mom and all his brothers
and his friends there.
They were all so loving and supportive. The
night before, we met with
his Father and step mom, and they told him
that they wanted him to
wait and that he should wait until Easter!
All Oliver wanted was to be
baptized tomorrow. We even told him either
way would be okay. He told
his dad and step mom that he shouldn't have
to wait on being the
happiest he has ever been. So, he signed his
own paper and showed up
the next morning in faith that his dad's
heart would be softened. We
prayed and prayed that it would be!
And it was!!! His dad didn't come
to the baptism but he sent him a text right
before telling him that he
loved him and that he was proud of him.
Oliver told us that it was his
dad's way of supporting him. It was a
miracle. A real Christmas
miracle. The service went well, we waited
around for Doe, I was
getting super super nervous just because of
sitting around. It's like
when you sit at the top of the jump or big
cliff skiing and if you
wait to long you just start freaking out. I
just wanted to do it right
away! But he finally showed up and was super
excited! It was worth the
wait. Oh ya and he was wearing a XXXXXL jump
suit. Now that was crazy
to see haha. But it was an amazing day. I
was ready for bed when I got
home though, that's for sure.
Oh one more thing! So in a year or so, Elder
Ammermon and I are
allowed to go to the temple with Doe! He and
his wife are planning on
working towards that really soon! It would
be such an amazing
experience to see them sealed in the temple.
And it would give us the
chance to go to the temple while we are
here!
I am writing this on the train, we are
headed into London right now.
The transfer was pushed one more week so I
will be Staying in Bedford
for sure this week. And we will see next
week. We are going into
London because Elder Ammermon is helping the
office with some
electrical stuff haha. Perks of having a
computer genius, we get a
London P day! We may not be able to stay
around super long but we're
going to try and see some sick stuff.
Love you guys so much!
Best P-day spent in London!!!!
