Well it's been a pretty solid week here in
Northamptonshire England. Life is good! To be honest, not much has happened
this week. We have been pretty busy with some things but we have also had a lot
of time finding on our area this week so we are excited for the fruits to come
in the next few days and weeks! So it'll be lovely. We have been able to work
with some of the members a bit better and also with the new senior couple.
We've really been trying to get the YSA in the stake to get moving along with
institute and some other activities, the senior couple (the Powers) are just
brilliant!
So we have had quite a bit of time to find
this week like i said. We have done basically all of our contacting up at the
university this week. Well the last 6 weeks hahaha. But it's been brilliant.
And guess what..more and more Chinese students come every single week because
school starts this week. It makes me miss the good old Britannia days. But I
love it out here. We are actually teaching a guy named E who we found at the
first of the week. He is coming to general conference and is super super
excited! So we are stoked about that. We have been using Facebook to our best
ability as well. We have created tons of General conference events and we are
having members invite their friends and we are hoping we will have a turn out.
I mean, if anyone wants to come to know truth, they can put their money on the
prophet and apostles haha. So we are stoked.
Other than that. Not much else has happened.
I heard from I a few days ago, she gets back to London today! So it was so
good to hear that. She hasn't been to church while she was in China. But she is
headed straight to the Hyde park chapel when she gets back! Ah so it was so
great hearing that!
I love my mission. I've learned to love life
in a way I never have before. I am grateful for my Saviour and all that He has
done for me. I'm grateful for the last year of my mission and all the things I
have learned. I've learned to fall in love with the process and I've realised
that the results follow when I've accepted the situation I'm in. I know that
Heavenly Father has a perfect plan for all of us. And for me, especially here
in England, I hope I can accomplish that purpose in the next year. Life is
good!

Lords Hand
I have seen the Lords Hand this week in the
opportunity we have had to use Facebook in an effective way. They really have
been given to us as tools to help the His work progress. It has been a miracle
to see how effective these tools can be used. We have been able to contact a
lot of people we wouldn't normally be able to. We can teach Skype lessons, have
video chats, message chats, send videos, it's just been incredible. I'm super
grateful. We have had some lovely counsel from the brethren about how to use
them effectively.
I love you guys. I hope all is well back
home. It sounds like it. The Utes are on a role. Taking down the trojans is
always a good feeling. Especially when it was your old stomping grounds team. I
love you! Keep working hard.
No short cuts.
Jacob
