Halloween and a new bike...FINALLY!

Jacob's companion had never carved a pumpkin before!!!
So this week has been pretty good. It went pretty quick. All the days seem to blur together by Sunday and I don't really remember what happened on what day in the week unless I look in my journal or planner haha. I don't know if that's normal but I hope so. But overall it was a positive week for me.

The highlight of my week was that I got a brand new bike!!! Ahhhh I was so happy, I still am! Honestly my bike was so rubbish. It had just one brake in the front and none in the back. And I would almost die every day haha, but it was good to get some adrenaline again. This one time we were going pretty fast and the light changed so I slammed on my brakes (that I didn't have) so I ran the red light and was honked at by the few grumpy dudes but ya, it was funny. But ya, the new bike is so posh! It's fast too haha.

We didn't have any lessons this week. We had 4 planned for just Friday and none the rest of the week. But they all fell through and canceled. It was pretty discouraging to be honest but there was nothing we could do so we just went out finding and visiting less actives. We actually played basketball with this less active member who’s about 6'5 and he's 15. He's a cool kid! He's a baller too! I'll probably be able to dunk on Hank in 2 years, I've been getting pretty good. But ya! He came to church with us on Sunday. It was cool to just interact with him and have a good time. I went on exchange with a new missionary who is serving in our district. Well new as in a few weeks haha.  I decided that the best thing to do was just have a killer day haha. We went finding for a few hours in the morning. We tracted, then went finding some more. We had a dinner appointment about 30 minutes away from our flat so we rode out there. I took a little detour, haha well more than just a detour. Like a 15 mile ride out there. We would normally take the bus but I think he needed it. So ya we got some great exercise and then we had the ride home. We got back to the flat and he was dead hahahaha. He told me that we should have just taken the bus. Haha wow it was funny.

On Saturday we had a trunk or treat with the ward. It was a good time!!! Elder Fisher and I decorated the Worral family’s car.  It was nothing like the triangle on Halloween though. It made me miss that a bit. Dad and Glen and Crockett out cooking hotdogs and looking like goons all dressed up. Haha I love our ward and stake so much. The stake here is massive and not very many people are involved. It just makes me grateful for what we have back home. I love the Bonneville stake.

Service!!
On Sunday we saw this lady that we had talked to a few weeks ago. She's from Mexico and she seriously is soooooo nice! And I love when we meet Hispanics here, they are so loving and kind. She has a daughter and son. We are going to meet with them this week; I'm super excited about it!

So yaaaaaah that's my week. Not too exciting but it was good for me. I'm starting to realize that whatever happens happens, if appointments fall through, that's just more motivation to set more appointments.

Lords Hand
I have seen the lords hand this week in that we ran into the lady from Mexico again, she had been trying to contact us but didn't have our number. It's a wonderful experience knowing that the lords timing is perfect. If we were just a few minutes late out of the flat or early then we wouldn't have seen her. The smallest decisions and acts we take all have a bigger scheme and play a role in the lords plan. I love it!!!
